There is a story about this bible, best told by others I'm sure. As it goes, Roseann (Hyslop) Szidon was repiling piles in her gargage, or some such thing, and she came across this old bible. The bible was given to her by her mother, Edna (Forsyth) Hyslop, long ago. The bible was originally William Madison and Eliza McFarland's and is engraved - W.M & E. McFarland. The bible is falling apart and was tied together with heavy string. The pages are torn and tattered, but luckily all of the records are intact. Color photos of the pages were sent to Tim Forsythe, Austin, TX, to transcribe. All entries appear to be hand written by Martha. The bible leaves no doubt, as the pages were viewed my multiple persons, which all agree, that Martha's middle name was Lurinda, not Lucinda.
