Widow's Award

September 21th 1840

William M McFarland administrator of John McFarland deceased I do set apart to the widow the following property. widow shall be allowed to retain as her sole and seperate property, one bed and bedding the wearing, apperal of herself and family, one Milk cow and calf, her saddle and bridle, one horse of the value of forty dollars, house hold and kitchen furniture sufficient for herself and family and provisions for the same for one year; twenty acres of corn, about fifty bushels of wheat, about sixty dayon[?] of oats and about two tons of hay, this last named Property, widow took at the appraisement
