  • Text: At a Court of Probate holdin in Norwalk
    July 4, 1814.

    This Court limits and appoints six months from this date for the creditors to the estate of AHIJAH TAYLOR, late of Norwalk, deceased, to submit their claims against said estate, and the executors are hereby ordered to give public notice thereof according to law.

    Public notice is hereby given that unless the creditors to the estate of Ahijah Taylor, late of Norwalk, deceased, exhibit their claims against said estate within the time above limited, they will ever after be denied[?] legal recovery.

  • Text: At a Court of Probate held at Fairfield
    November 12, 1816.

    Upon the petition of Rhoda Taylor of Fairfield, in Fairfield district, guardian to Alonzo Taylor, Gilbert Taylor, Sally Ann Taylor, Charles H. Taylor, and Mariette Taylor, all minors, under the age of 21 years, shewing to this court that they own in common and undivided with the other heirs of Robert W. Taylor, late of Fairfield, deceased, the following tracts of land, vz. one piece lying in said Fairfield, in quantity about one fourth of an acre with a small dwelling house thereon, bounded northerly by land in possession of Rhoda Coble, easterly by highway, southerly and westerly by a salt marsh and Slugatuck river; also another piece in the town of Norfolk, in quanity about three acres and one quarter, bounded northerly and easterly by highway, southerly by Charles Taylor, and westerly by land of Mr. Hanford; also, one other piece at the Honey-Hill, so called, in the town of Wilton, which was set off to said minors in the distribution of the estate of Ahijah Taylor, deceased, and praying this court to order the sale thereof, as per petition on file.

    Ordered that the last Monday of January next at 9 o'clock forenoon be assigned for the hearing the said petition at the probate office in said Fairfield, and that this decree be advertised in a newspaper published at Bridgeport 8 weeks successfully, at least 6 weeks before said day of assignment, when all persons concerned may appear and shew cause why the pr yer of said petition should not be granted.
