  • Text: Know all men by the presents, that we Arthur McFarlin and Wm McFarlen are held and firmly bound unto the Commonwealth of Kentucky, in the just and full sum of fifty pounds, current money, to the payment of which, well and truly to be made to said Commonwealth, we and each of us bind ourselves, and every of our heirs, executors and administrators, jointly, and severally, firmly by these presents, sealed with our seals, and dated this twenty fifth day of March 1811.

    The Condition of the obligation, is such that whereas a marriage is shortly intended to be solemnized between the above bound Arther McFarlin and Jane Clewpole of Bourbon County. Now, if there is no lawful cause to obstruct the said marriage, then the above obligation to be void, otherwise to remain in full force.
