  • Text: Know all men by the Presents that we William Bray and John Phillips - are held and firmly bound unto his Excellency Isaac Shelby Governor of Kentucky and his successors in the pennal[?] sum of fifty pounds current money to which payment well and truley to be made we bind our heirs ? and ? jointly and severally firmly by the Presents sealed with our seals and dated this 2nd day of February 1793

    The condition of the above obligation is such that if there should be no legal cause to obstruct a marriage shortly intended to be solemnized between the above ? a William & Ann Philips daughter of the above bound John - then this obligation to be void otherwise to remain in full force and Virtue ?
