  • Text: Rockbridge County towit -- came before me Wm. Mcfarlin and made oath that Rachel Mcfarlin his sister who is about to intermarry with David Willock is above the age of twenty one agreeable to the Account of her parents given under my hand this 20th Day of April 1793 James Mc?

    Know all men by these presents that we David Wilock & Willam Mcfarland -- are held and family bound unto the Commonwealth of Virginia in the sum of fifty pounds current money to the payment whereof we bind ourselves our Heir's Executors and Administrators family and severally family by these presents with our Seals and Dated the 20th Day of April 1793 The Condition of the above obligation is such that whereas there is a Marriage shortly intended to be Solemnized between the above bound David Willock & Rachel Mcfarland. If therefore there be no lawful cause to obstruct the said Marriage then the above obligation to be void or to else remain in full force. --- Teste David Willock (Seal) A Reid ? Wm Mcfarland (Seal)
