    Born in Hartford, Conn. May, 8th, 1748.
    Married to Elizabeth Clark, June, 1773 - With whom he lived in that relation 70 years. The father of twelve children - eleven of whom were settled in life, and presented him with 61 grand children. He emigrated to Ohio in 1810, and settled in Jeffersen, Ashtabula Co. He lived to see among his

    This likeness was taken in Ashtabula, Aug. 1849. on which day the venerable Patriarch swung the cradle in a field of grain - rode about 20 miles in a carriage - walked some two miles, and made several friendly visits, dined with his grandson, Sylvester Osborn, accompained by his youngest son, Elemuel, and grandsons Silas B. and Flavius J.
