FAIRFIELD-WESTPORT
Fairfield County
Fairfield was settled in 1639. Named 1645. Of the several Congregational churches in old Farfield, the one located at Green's Farms (in Westport) was organized in 1715. The following are the marriages recorded. Rev. David Chapman, pastor from 1715 to 1741. Rev. Daniel Buckingham, 1742 to 1766.
