Professor Twist

This short movie combines two poems, "Professor Twist" and "Professor Twist (Redux)", both written as a tribute to that master of light verse, Ogden Nash and is based on his poem, "The Purist".

The Purist

I give you now Professor Twist,
A conscientious scientist.
Trustees exclaimed, “He never bungles!”
And sent him off to distant jungles.
Camped on a tropic riverside,
One day he missed his lovely bride.
She had, the guide informed him later,
Been eaten by an alligator.
Professor Twist could not but smile.
“You mean,” he said “a crocodile.”
These poems were published in my book, "Rhydiqulous Rhymes ". To create this movie, I ventured into the world of artificial intelligence using voices generated by Elevenlabs and images by MidJourney.
