Emigrants from the Sieg district. Applications for permission to emigrate, filed in the state archives at Duesseldorf, Germany, under the heading "Regierung Koeln Ie 41 Band 1-11 (11 vols.)." Contains data on 1,673 emigrants in the years 1857-1889, from various jurisdictions in the North Rhine-Westphalian vicinity of Siegburg. In all, 1,500 emigrated to the Americas. Much information on each person.

    On 30 May 1882, Franz Joseph Loebach of Geisbach, b 21 Mar 1856 in Geisbach, applied for emigration to America. The applicant already lives in America at Rischland Canty-La-Salle Staat Illonois (presumably Richland, LaSalle County, Illinois) where he is a farmer. A brother lives in Keoln (Cologne) Burgunderstrasse 8.
