    November 12, 1831
    Probated August 1835

I, Jesse Claypool of the County of Bath and State of Kentucky, being far advanced in years though strong in mind do seize upon this opportunity to make my last Will and Testament in manner and for following - First I desire that after my decease that my remains be deposited in the grave in a plain and decent manner and that all the expenses arising therefrom be paid out of the money which I have deposited with my Son-in-Law, John Keithley, and Secondly, my desire is that out of the money which I have deposited with my said Son-in-Law that there be paid to each of my children (ie) Cornelius, James Jesse, Jacob, and John, Margaret, Polly, Katharine, Elizabeth and Jane - each is to be paid by John Keithley fifty dollars out of the money that I put in his hands if the same is not or has not been heretofore paid them by the said Keithley and that is all that they are ever to receive of my estate or the money which I have deposited with John Keithley and Thirdley, my desire is that the heirs of Jonathan Claypool be paid ten dollars after my decease as their portion of all my estate and after the foregoing sums have been paid by my Son-in-Law, John Keithley. Then the balance of the money I give to him for the kind treatment we have received of him during our living with him and Fourthly, I do appoint John Keithley, my Son-in-Law, executor of this my last Will and Testament and I do by these present revoke all Wills by me previously made in Testimony whereof I this twelveth day of November 1831 caused by my Hand and Seal to be affixed.
