He was born in Baltimore, Maryland about 1817 (according to his death annoucements in the Norwich Bulliten and the Norwich Courier), and married Jane E. Daley (1824-) in New York on September 5, 1844. They had 5 children. He died in Norwich, Connecticut on July 21, 1864.
