Charles Cawley lists 1 daughter and 3 sons. "It is probable that Derborgaill´s father was one of the sons of Brian..., but the primary source which names him as not yet been identified. The mother of this son was most probably Brian´s wife Gormlaith as his daughter Derborgaill had a daughter of this name, which appears to restrict his identity to Tadhg or Donnchad.
