Commentary
Weis and Charles Cawley list his parents as Ragnvald the Wise and Ragnhild based on the Norse Sagas. Stewart Baldwin lists them as doubtful and gives ample reasons to be suspicious of the sagas' claims. He states that the various primary sources offer very contradictory information about Rollo's origin.
