Note
Abigail Hickock was the daughter of Deacon Benjamin Hickocks and Sarah Lockwood. She was born in 1718, possibly on November 1, in Stamford, Fairfield County, Connecticut, was baptized there on November 13, 1718, and died in Westport, Fairfield County, Connecticut on December 30, 1800. She was buried in Westport, Fairfield County, Connecticut. Her gravestone list her death date, and lists her in her 83rd year.
After her first husband died, she married Thaddeus Morehouse on October 24, 1773 in Connecticut. There are no known children to this second union. In 1744, Thaddeus and Abigail conveyed Thaddeus Bennett, Jr., of Fairfield, all right in land and grist mill from William Bennett's estate.
The will of Abigail Morehouse is dated February 16, 1797 and was proved on February 1, 1801.

In his will, William Bennett mentions wife, Abigail; sons Thaddeus, Deliverence, Joseph and Stephen; and daughters, Sarah and Abigail. On December 31, 1776, receipts were filed from Samuel and Abigail Smith, and Jabez and Sarah Lockwood, for portions from their father's estate.
In her will, Abigail Morehouse mentions sons Thaddeus and Deliverance Bennett, land in Wilton, and daughter Abigail Smith. It is unclear why Joseph and Stephen were not mentioned.
