Burke (pg 18-19) lists her as the daughter and co-heiresses of Thomas, 3rd son of Thomas, 2nd son of Richard de Clare, Earl of Gloucester. Weis, however, places her as the daughter of Thomas, son of Richard de Clare, the 8th Earl of Clare.
