Commentary
Stewart Baldwin: 'See CGH LL337b19 ff., not in Kelley. The only earlier individual in the pedigree whom I have been able to identify in the annals is Fergus (d. 738AU) son of Moenach, king of Fotharta, who was six generations before Murchad. All the earlier generations appear to be unverifiable names. I am inclined to accept the pedigree back to the above Moenach, but the large number of unidentified intervening names between Cele and Fergus leaves open considerable possibilities for error.'
