Note
1778/94 domkapit. Hofmann and Meyer in Welschbillig
1771/1803 Sendschöffe (transmission juror)
1789/90 Momper

In 1789 he received an inheritance from the the cathedral altarists Johann Wilmar Becker (d 06.06.1789 Trier)

I have shown him as the son of Nicolas and Catherine Dahm. This is because sources state he was born in Idenheim in 1728, and the Church records for Idenhiem for that period show only one Dahm family, with Joannes Carolus born in 1727. This is not a definite connection. Other sources state he is supposed to be the brother of Nikolaus who was Sendschöffe and Gerichtsschöffe in Idenheim in 1768. There is no Nicolas listed as a son of Nicolas and Catherine, however there a several gaps in the years 1729, 1732-1736, 1738-1742, and 1744-1745. Nicolas could have been born during one of these times, and the records was lost or not recorded by the Church record transcriptor.
