Other Cabinet Cards

In the last installment of this series, we looked at cabinet cards taken in Galesburg, Illinois, that were of unidentified infants. In this installment we will look at the remaining unidentified . None of the cards are labeled or dated.

The first of the cabinet cards comes from the Place studio in Chicago, and has front imprinting only. This is the only example we have from this studio, so dating the photo must rely on the manner of the gentlemen's dress. I am not a fashionista, but I would date this card anywhere from 1890 to 1900.

The third cabinet card comes from the G. W. Jorns studio in Springfield, Illinois, has frontside imprinting only and probably also dates between 1890 and 1900. The gentleman in photograph could be the same person in the previous one.
